What are the different types of administrators/managers and what can they do?

Last Updated: Apr 15, 2013 10:25AM EDT
Users can be set to administrators and gain access to main administrative tasks in CISV Central.  Here are a few different types:
  1. Chapter Admin - this is an admin of a chapter, specifically.  Setting a user to this role in a hub that is not a chapter will have no affect.  This gives the user certain abilities and permissions at the chapter level including:
    • Managing people (blocking or denying membership, approving memberships).
    • Editing content when necessary.
    • Creating committees and assigning "hub" administrators to the committee.
    • Creating events and assigning "event" administrators to the event.
    • Managing forms.
    • Managing documents.
    • Viewing and management of complete user profiles of anyone inside of their chapter.
    • Viewing and management of all hubs created under their chapter.
  2. Hub Admin - this is an admin of a committee or event, specifically.  Setting a user to this role inside of a committee or event gives administrative ability to the user inside that hub only.  This includes:
    • Managing people (blocking or denying membership, approving memberships).
    • Editing content when necessary.
    • Creating committees and assigning "hub" administrators to the committee.
    • Creating events and assigning "event" administrators to the event.
    • Managing forms.
    • Managing documents.
    • Viewing of all RSVP information and additional profile information relavent to the hub's operation.
  3. Official Programs - this is a special case, please see below (coming soon).
